World War 1 Mind Map
Main Causes of WW1
Militarism is another reason why WW1 started because the increase in the military of the countries helped the countries with strong military's to find other countries with strong military's as a ally to then later join the war and have your county behind your efforts because of the strength of your country
Nationalism is big reason why WW1 happened because in Austro-Hungarian Empire was very loyal to their nation as you can see because they went to war about the assassination of their archduke.
One of the very important causes of the WW1 was alliances. Alliances were so important because it is what brought countries together and bonded them through mutual defense agreements that would pull the country in alliance into battle to help the country you are allied with. This relates to WW1 because this war was a chain reaction of alliances being shown because when somebody got attacked another country would join to help the counrty that got attacked and so on.
The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was sort of the set-off or the final straw to set the war in motion because 1 month after Serbia had killed the Archduke, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and their ally Germany declared war on Serbia. Then, Serbia had a pact with Russia and then Russia had a pact with France which is why this is such valid cause for WW1.
Weapons
Next, I think that submarines were very important because they could travel underwater and the could target opposing shipping.
Secondly, I think tanks were very important in WW1. Although they would slide off their tracks I think they were important because it was to counter one of the most useful things in WW1, trench warfare.
One of most deadly weapons in WW1 was gas. I think it was gas because the opposing did not know how to deal with it as it was being used. The side with the gas would have a upper hand by a lot in warfare when their enemies do not have gas masks because without gas masks the gas burned your throat, would make you vomit, sore eyes, and blistering skin.
Another important weapon for the war were flamethrowers they were so valuable during the war because they were used to get the enemy of the trenches and into the open making them better targets.
Propaganda
There were some posters that goal was to get to you to join the war efforts by using different propaganda techniques like in a piece of propaganda it has a variety of different people in a huge line and later it gets in the line people are having war uniforms on which this propaganda piece uses a technique called bandwagon.
Propaganda is also made effective by using precious objects to a community and making a call to action like a certain propaganda poster uses a young kid and mother passed out starving showing the objects being threatened and the call to action is a man standing by himself with a torch.
Propaganda was used to make people have a certain feeling about the current situation going on that it is described in a poster, sometime bias information.

Connections
One connection that I can make is between weapons and the Reasons for the United States joining the war. The connection that I have made is with submarines and the Zimmerman Telegram and/or the Lusitania the reason I have made this connection is because the Zimmerman Telegram talks about "unrestricted submarine warfare" and the Lusitana was believed to be sunken by an German torpedo from a subermerine.
I also found a connection between reasons between the United States joining the war and propaganda. The propaganda that was made was trying to get people to join the army and to persuade the people why the war is right to go into.
