they mad Leaflets and books on German war practices and also printed in foreign languages for immigrants

It uses the emotional appeal of a woman to build sympathy for the cause. It also has patriotic appeal so you will feel the need to join because you don't want to let down your country. I think It is convincing because it makes you feel like you have to join for the good of your country.

Gas warfare
It was impossible to fight the gas and soldier were unprepared early in the war because WWI was the first war it was used in. It was very effective because soldiers couldn't do anything about it and it killed many soldiers.
machine gun
It was very effective in trench warfare and it was first used in WWI. It could fire hundreds of rounds per minute and was effective at long range. It was much more effective than the other rifles of the time.
Causes of WWI

Alliances- countries throughout Europe made mutual defense agreements so if one country attacked another then they will have someone to back them up
connection- militarism caused different countries to build new advanced weapons that would change the war. Some of these weapons include chlorine gas and the machine gun

connection- Germany wanted to make alliances with Mexico so they could have an ally near the US but the telegram got intercepted by the British who were allies with US so they sent the telegram to the US and it angered them because Germany promised mexico part of the US and it could be seen as a threat to the the US.

Imperialism- countries increased wealth and power by gaining territories, most of these territories were in africa and asia
