ACTIVITY-CENTERED VERSUS HUMAN-CENTERED DESIGN: Activity-centered design lets the activity define the product and its structure.
ITERATIVE DESIGN VERSUS LINEAR STAGES: The traditional design process is linear (goes in a single direction) and once decisions have been made, it is difficult or impossible to go back. The iterative method of human-centered design, where the process is circular, with continual change. The best methods are a combination of both.
