Plastic Dip coating
Step 1. heat up metal in oven 180º
Step 2. dip in fluidizing tank - fine thermoplastic powder will fuse onto metal
Step 3. put back in oven to fuse
Step 4. allow to cool

used to produce an attractive, durable, corrosion-resist finish
gold plate / silver
Anodizing
used for aluminium
electrolytic process
Must prepare surface beforehand !

Emery cloth - work through grades of paper
polish
fine abrasive
exposes new layer (shiny)
paint
protect (from rust) and enhance appearance
many colours and types of paint
galvanising
dip in zinc to protect from rusting
oil
heat metal
quench in oil
lacquer
similar to varnish
