Rainforest Biome
Tropical Rainforest
Location:Tropical rainforests are mainly located between the latitudes of 23.5°N (the Tropic of Cancer) and 23.5°S (the Tropic of Capricorn)—the tropics.
Tropical rainforests are found in Central and South America, western and central Africa, western India, Southeast Asia, the island of New Guinea, and Australia.
Animals in tropical are:
The animals that live in tropical rainforests are
Mountain Gorillas.
Blue Morpho Butterfly.
Okapi.
Brown-Throated Three-Toed Sloth.
Jaguar.
Capybara.
Scarlet Macaw.
Poison Dart Frog.
Climate:Tropical rainforests are lush and warm all year long! Temperatures don't even change much between night and day.
The tropical rainforest is a hot, moist biome where it rains all year long. It is known for its dense canopies of vegetation that form three different layers.
Temperature:Mean temperatures in tropical rainforest regions are between 20 and 29 °C (68 and 84 °F), and in no month is the mean temperature below 18 °C (64 °F).
Flora:Ferns, mosses, liverworts, lichens, and algae are also abundant and diverse, although not as well studied and cataloged as the higher plants.

Temperate Rainforest
Location:Temperate rainforests are located in the mid-latitudes, where temperatures are much more mild than the tropics.
Temperate rainforests are found mostly in coastal, mountainous areas.
Temperature:As their name implies, temperate rainforests are much cooler than their tropical cousins, averaging between 10° and 21°C (50° and 70°F). They are also much less sunny and rainy, receiving anywhere between 150-500 centimeters (60-200 inches) of rain per year.
Climate:Temperate rainforests are characterized by mild climates or temperatures.
Vegetations:The main kinds of trees found in the temperate rainforest biome include oaks, beeches, walnut trees, lime trees, sycamores, aspens, elms, tulip trees, and birches.
Flora:The main trees found in these forests in North America and Eurasia include fir, oak, ash, maple, birch, beech, poplar, elm and pine. Other plant species may include magnolia, prunus, holly, and rhododendron.
Animals in temperate are:
pacific salamander.
tree frog.
raccoon.
banana slug.
crow.
black bear.
black-tailed deer.
wolf.
