Elizabeth Barton, Nun of Kent: suffered visions and was sent to a nunnery by Dr Edward Bocking, a canterbury monk. By 1528, her visions said disastrous things would happen if he divorced catherine. the likelihood was that she believed her visions, but those around her were playing a political game. By 1530, Bocking developed E's visions into a larger campaign against reform. Cromwell arrested E and her mentors in 1533, and E executed in 1534 after she confessed her visions were false.
