Human reproductive system
Male and female reproduction system allow human reproductive
fertilisation occurs when a sperm and egg fuse together to form an Embryo
An embryo develops into an unborn baby in the uterus during pregnancy
Human reproduce through sexual reproduction, this produces offspring that are genetically unique because half of their genetic material - DNA- comes from each parent
Ova are a female gamete
sperm are a male gametes
in sexual redproduction, a male and femal gamete can fuse togther, this is fertilisation. These gametes are specialised cells which have adaptaions to increase the chances of fertilisation and succsessful develepment of a baby
The function of the male reproduction system is to produce sperm cells
