Organisms
Multicellular organisms
Three different types of multicellular organisms and how they obtain and digest their food.
Humans.
Dogs.
Cows.
This is accomplished by dividing labour among numerous cell or tissue components within an organism.
5 different types of multicellular cells that can be found in the human body
Nerve cells
Their function is to transduce a variety of stimuli into electrical signals.
Muscle cells
Their function is to help to control the physical forces within the body.
Blood cells
their function is transporting oxygen from your lungs to your body's tissues.
Bone cells
Their function is to work in harmony to maintain a balance between bone formation and resorption
Stem cells
They serve as a repair system for the body.
3 different types of plant cells
sclerenchyma
parenchyma
The three types differ in structure and function.
collenchyma
Unicellular organisms
Three different types of multicellular organisms and how they obtain and digest their food.
A paramecium, for example, is a unicellular, slipper-shaped organism found in pond water. It ingests food from the water and digests it in food vacuoles, which are organelles.
5 different types of unicellular cells (only some of them are for the human body)
Escherichia coli
Their function helps the body break down and digest the food we eat.
Bacteria
Their function is to break down nutrients
Pneumococci
Their function is to colonization and the development of otitis media
Protista
Their function is to serve as the foundation of the food chain.
Streptococcus
Thier function is to support inflammation in the upper respiratory tract and skin
Bacteria.
Protists.
Yeast.
3 different types of plant cells
filamentous algae
Their function is for single cells to reproduce and join together into long hairlike strands or colonies that grow toward the water surface
Diatoms
Diatoms are responsible for over 40 percent of photosynthesis
phytoplanktons
Their function is that they photosynthesize to produce their food.
