A strategy is the combination of steps to carry out activities in a unique way and achieve objectives.

Its first approaches begin in 1958 when it was stated that the growth of companies should be focused on their environment.
The idea evolved to consider structural changes in organizations, improvement of operations, leadership, until reaching the shared value and social responsibility of companies to achieve the success of their objectives and economics.
Objectives can be for short, medium or long term

Strategic planning seeks the development of plans and procedures that companies must implement and cover for short periods of time.
Strategic planning also allows developing a vision for the future of the organization, a vision, a mission and the essential values on which it will be based.
A strategic plan makes organizations put in their stated objectives and create procedures to achieve them

However, strategic planning is not a predictive tool.

Then strategic planning is important for companies because it allows them to understand and evaluate their situations in order to align their teams with the same information and to be able to make useful and valuable contributions.
