Joints
Gliding Joint
Plane joint, also called gliding joint in anatomy, type of structure in the body formed between two bones in which the articular, or free, surfaces of the bones are flat or nearly flat, enabling the bones to slide over each other.
Ball and Socket Joint
In this joint there is a cup like bone and the other ball shaped bone fits into the cavity of the cup bone and is able to move in all direction.
Pivotal Joint
A pivotal joint is present in between the skull and the neck. In this joint the bone allows movement in three direction. It is basically present in the neck but is a part of skull also.
Hinge Joint
Hinge joint is a joint found in our knees and elbows. It allows movement in 2 direction. It is similar to the opening and closing of the door.

Skeleton is a part of a human covered with muscles. Our body is made up of bones and our body structure is called skeleton. All the joints, bones, organs etc form the skeleton.
