The Vikings established trading networks throughout the world and in influenced economic developemnt in the East.
Weapons showed the social status of a Viking, and was influenced by pagan religious beliefs.

The Danes are aware, and kinda fearful of Ragnar because they know how people like him are and how they fight.
Alfred the Great works with Ragnar and they help eachother out, and Alfred gets Ragnar to get baptised and convert to christanity.
