1945 - He decided to become a minister
1948 - MLK graduates
1949 - 1951 - He studied in Crozer Theological Seminary in Penn.
1951 - He earned a bachelor in Divinity from Crozer
1953 - He got married
1955 - He got his PhD in Boston
1957 - MLK and other ministers founded the SCL conference
1958 - SCLC sponsored more than 20 mass meetings for black voters.
Feb 1960 - He began the Greensboro sit-in movement
Aug 1960 - This group ended segregation in counters in 27 southern cities
Oct 1960 - MLK and 75 students ordered lunch in a department store - MLK and 36 others were arrested
1960 - Presidential campaign JFK supported the civil rights movement
1963 - MLK organized a non violent demonstration in Alabama
Aug 1963 - MLK participated in the March in Washington, famous for his I have I dream speech
1964 - MLK received the Nobel Peace Prize
9th March 1965 - 2,5k marchers across the Pettus Bridge and they were confronted by the police
21 March 1965 - 2k people march from Selma to Montgomery
25 March 1965 - 25k people marched to the state capitol, and MLK gave a speech
Aug 1965 - Lyndon B.Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act
Apr 3rd, 1968 - MLK gives his last speech
Apr 4th, 1968 - MLK is assassinated
1969 - The assassin is caught and sentenced to 99 years in prison.
