reflect
i feel: sad, angry and devastated
supporting detail:
everyone has their own flaws and also strengths
Insults strike directly at a person's feelings, self-esteem, pride, identity and ego. So, no matter why an insult happens or how it happens or when it happens, the truth of the matter is it will leave a scar.
example:
imagine if i am the one that was being insulted
Insults will always reveal more about the person who says them than the person to whom they are directed.
What I should do in the future: I should intervene when I see others being berated for something that should not be seen as a weakness
Supporting detail:
I should not simply be a bystander as bystanders indirectly enable the wrongful action to continue
Example:
I should defend the person by condemning the bullies for looking down on another person's language proficiency and advise them to instead always be kind in their everyday lives
what I learned: we should never look down on someone because they may feel insecure to talk to others around them
supporting detail : this is because they are afraid of being ridiculed and feel traumatized by the situation that has occurred
