        Descending axons:
        
        Arise from = medial vestibular nucleus
        
        Adjust changes in the position of the head in response to changes in vestibular inputs
      - Pyramidal tract (corticospinal)
        
        Ventro medial position : 90% of the fibers form => decussation of the pyramides
        
        Descending as the lateral corticospinal tract
        
        Voluntary control over motor responses
        
        Damage to this pathway = UMN paralysis
      - Descending tract of nerve V = Trigeminal nerve
        
        Fibers of CN V = First order axons that mediate somatosensory inputs from the head region
        
        Spinal nucleus = Second-order neuron
        
        Transmits = somatosensory information from the head region to the thalamus
    - - Lateral spinothalamic tract = Pain, T° from the contralateral side of the body to the thalamus
      - Spinocerebellar tract = Mediate unconscious proprioception to the cerebellum (from muscle spindles and Golgi tendon)
