Extreme Nationalism
In October of 1922, Mussolini and the Black Shirts went on the March to Rome in order to gain power, which Mussolini got. In late October Mussolini would gain the title of Prime Minister, removed from Luigi Facta and given by the King.

Indoctrination
In order to keep power, Mussolini realized he had to educate children in his beliefs. Teachers were forced to teach his fascist ideology or else they cold have been fired. He went as far as creating activities that would include military training for boys.

Legalized Police Terror
The "Black Shirts" were an army like force who terrorized the public; anyone who opposed the totalitarian/ fascist rule of Mussolini would be imprisoned.

Limited Human Rights
Mussolini wanted to increase birth rates, and in order to accomplish that he enforced much stricter laws on abortion, restricted birth control, and cut down the number of available jobs for women
