There will be the main sections of the map that take you to the main sections of the ship and main hallways between them
Many store rooms and other rooms with no objectives in them but still very detailed for people to explore in their free time
back hallways and vents/ hidden(not hidden but not sign posted and the player has to look to find them - feels rewarded for finding them.)ways to rooms with machinery or things to look at that the player wouldn't see without the free time to look around.
in these back rooms and hidden rooms there will be evidence of humans and rubbish left on the ground from people working on the ship before it launched
This will cause the players to think about the world and the ship before it took off and come up with their own story and narrative of why the ship is on the journey and why these two people were picked. (This will be hinted by some of the things left like newspapers but the majority of the story will be built in the players head)

interactable equipment to control the ships speed and direction along with other things like the oxygen systems or the food systems

the ship will be at 150 billion miles from earth where it will meet with the asteroid belt. Half way to its destination.

most asteroid fields aren't very dense but the one the player meets has been pulled together by a gravitational force caused by a black hole or a planet.
Gameplay

The Gameplay features of the game will not be happening all the time and there will be free time to allow the user to explore and find out things about the ship

The main gameplay
you have to direct the ships course and speed to navigate through an asteroid field without crashing
You control the power and resource outputs to make sure you have enough oxygen and food whilst also keeping the ship operational and moving
random events of debris and asteroid chunks hitting the ship to keep action and makes the player repair it
puzzles to solve all these issues and limited resources (permanent repairs for things or temporary that has a chance to be get damaged again easier)
