A commercial revolution started in Europe, this led from a stagnant economy of medieval Europe to a more dynamic and worldwide system. Also it started the expansion of trade and commerce with Oriental countries and the Americas, initially by land, and then, by the sea-routes. This transition ended the Italian trade monopoly and with the rise of England, France, Portugal and Spain, commerce expanded into a world enterprise.
