The incentive theory ò motivaiton states that incentives and rewards are the driving forces behind people choices and behaviors
Intrinsic motivation
Definition: the driving force to take action that come from within you
Purpose: Use for personal development and self-understanding as well as a means for using their intuition and spritually.

Internak desire to engages in behaviours or actions that brings rewards: increases self-esteem, personal satisfaction
Desire to affirm ur self-image
From a desire to fullfill basic need: food, shelter, or financial comfort
Extrinsic motivation
Def: the driving force to take action that comes from sources outside of urself
This may stem from desire to obtain an extrinsic reward or desire to receive positive responses, praise , acceptance, and expectations imposed on you by others
More difficult to achieve things than intrinsic motivation
You must find solutions to change from ex-in=> live for yourself
Self-esteem and motivation
Def: is the perception you have of yourself as a human being includes your sense of personal pride and worthiness.
It may be the result of your perception of past experiences
With high self-esteem you will be highly motivated and experience a cycle of positive results=> control of their life
