Malware
There are many different types of malware, the worst of which are designed to damage computers and networks.
The word malware is a combination of the words malicious and software. Malware is actually one of the biggest threats on the internet today.

Malware usually spreads
A drive-by attack occurs when a victim gets malware just by visiting a site that is not secure. In this type of attack, the user does not even need to open or click on anything. Just by visiting the infected website, the malware will begin to download.
Pirated programs are copies of software that people post online offering them as a free download. Because it is illegal to download pirated software, the hackers know there is little chance of getting caught adding malware to these downloads.
The most common way malware is spread through email attachments. When the user downloads and then opens an email attachment, it allows the malware program to launch. The program then replicates on the user’s computer and will try to send itself to more computers.
