Other forms of energy
-
Nuclear Nuclear Energy is the energy stored in the particles inside an atomic nucleus. Large amounts of energy can be released when the nuclei are combined or split apart.

Kinetic energy (KE) is the energy of a moving object because of its motion. The kinetic energy of a moving object depends on the object’s mass and its speed.
Potential energy (PE) is the stored energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position relative to others, stresses within itself, and other factors.
Gravitational potential energy (GPE) is the energy of an object due to its position above Earth’s surface. It is compared to a Reference Point (base level).
Elastic potential energy (EPE) is potential energy stored as a result of deformation of an elastic object, such as the stretching of a spring.
