I believe there is no such thing as true silence, given that even in a vacuum (assuming we would be able to breathe), we could still have thoughts in our head. But aside from that literal interpretation of the meaning, I think silence as an action that very much exists. The words, signals, or expressions that could stop a conflict that are not communicated have as much power as the words, signals, or expressions used to start the conflict. How could there be no such thing as silence if silence has been the one of the root causes of oppression throughout the world?
