SCENARIO
- 28 years old male, with the complaint of swelling on right side of mandible 3 days ago, associated with trismus and difficulty of swallowing and not first episode of occurrence (recurrent)
Differential diagnosis

Facial cellulitis
-
-
Can cause restricted neck movement, dysphagia, dysphonia, dysarthria, drooling, and sore throat
Fever, chills, leukocytosis, and an elevated sedimentation rate may be seen

Sialadenitis
-
-
the affected gland is swollen and painful, and the overlying skin may be warm and erythematous.

Mumps
-
-
Low grade fever, headache, malaise, anorexia and myalgia.
Common site: Parotid, submandibular and sublingual gland
