Cyberbullying prevalence in Australia
1 in 5 Australian young people have reported being socially excluded, threatened or abused online
55% of students experiencing cyberbullying sought help from their parents with only 12% reporting it to the website or platform
1 in 5 Australian young people admitted to behaving negatively towards peers online. Of these, over 90% had experienced similar negativity online themselves.

Legislation
There is no specific legislation pertaining to Cyber Bullying in NSW, however some instances of cyberbullying may be regarded as offences under the Commonwealth Criminal Code, 1955. Division 474 subdivision C. Telecommunications Offences.
