Types of errors
Negligence error
Negligence is failure to meet a standard level of care. It is an incorrect decision. They fail to apply appropriate and or ethical rules expected to be used in specified circumstances.
-
Systematic error
Systematic error (also called systematic bias) is consistent, repeatable error associated with faulty equipment or a flawed experiment design.
-
Examples:
Offset or zero setting error in which the instrument does not read zero when the quantity to be measured is zero.
Multiplier or scale factor error in which the instrument consistently reads changes in the quantity to be measured greater or less than the actual changes.
Random error
Random error (also called unsystematic error, system noise or random variation) has no pattern. You can’t predict random error and these errors are usually unavoidable.
-
Examples:
Electronic noise in the circuit of an electrical instrument,

A statistical error (or disturbance) is the amount by which an observation differs from its expected value; in simple words, an error is a deviation from accuracy.
Except when the machines or the environment have random changes, we can avoid errors. Even so, we have to expect the unexpected and do everything possible to prevent an issue in our procedures.
