Immune System
What is Innate and adaptive immune system?
Adaptive
The second line of defense against non-self pathogens is called adaptive immune response.
Innate
innate immune response is to immediately prevent the spread and movement of foreign pathogens throughout the body.
Types of Innate and Adaptive Immune system
Innate (non-Specific)
macrophages
neutrophils
Natural killer cells
dendritic cells
mast cells
basophils
eosinophils
Adaptive (Specific)
T lymphocytes
B lymphocytes
How is the inflammatory respond processes in immunity?
The response to ICH occurs in four distinct phases
(2) inflammation-driven breakdown of the blood–brain barrier
3) recruitment of circulating inflammatory cells and subsequent secondary immunopathology
(1) initial tissue damage and local activation of inflammatory factors
(4) engagement of tissue repair
How is the immune respond when the pathogen enter the blood stream?
Lymphocytes detect that these pathogen antigens are foreign and not naturally occurring within the body, leading the lymphocyte to produce antibodies . This process can take a few days, during which time a person may feel ill. The antibodies are released into the blood and bind to pathogens.
