Global warming solutions
Solution 2
Advantages: People sharing vehicles or using a public transport is better for the planet because it cuts down on the fossils fuels burnt from all the different vehicles which in the long term will have a noticeable decrease. in the heating of the earth.
Disadvantages: Not everyone lives close to either a public transport or near to anyone who is going to the same place as them for example going to work. Another disadvantage is in these current times because of Covid it may not be completely safe to have a multiple people from different households in one small confined space all the time.
Car share or public transport to places. this in tails when traveling to places instead of using one car you either put multiple people in the same car or use public transport.
PESTLE: This mainly has environmental factors but because of Covid 19 restrictions it also has some social factors.
Solution 3
Advantages: If people are buying locally sourced foods it will benefit the planet buy cutting down on the emissions caused by all the different vehicles traveling long distances and burning fuels. As well as global benefits it also benefits farmers and other food producers in your local area.
Disadvantages: There are many different foods which have to have a specific temperature and climate to grow properly and the UK definitely doesn't have all the climates. You could say people could build and create climates but that will increase fossil fuels emissions because they will need to have electricity produced to power them.
Only buy locally sourced items from the supermarket. this in tails buying locally sourced vegetables and other food products because if the items are coming from long distances away then they will have to travel on many different modes of transport for example truck, train and plane.
PESTLE: There are many different factors to buying local foods for example its mainly environmental but there are also economic factors because money is going to local food producers.
Solution 5
Advantages: There is less waste in landfills. When buying second hand you can get some very good deals on items that are either new or not very old for example I got a bike that is worth £9000 but i got it second hand for £2500 and its in perfect working condition.
-
Disadvantages: Not everything you buy second hand works when you buy it. People will always want the newest of items so their will always be loads of people not wanting to go second hand instead. Smaller business may go out of business because people are not buying all their new items.
We should reduce, reuse and recycle. Electronics, clothes, and many other different items we buy causes carbon emissions at each point in their production. It starts from the extraction of the raw materials to manufacturing and transporting of the goods to shops. Instead of buying all the new items we could shop second-hand, repair what you can, recycle and just not buy things we don't need.
Solution 1
Disadvantages: There are many disadvantages and difficulties to biking to work for example you have to already have a certain level of fitness and also have a useable bike. Another disadvantage is not everyone live within biking distance of their place of work and if they do the weather is not always good enough to go out on a bike instead of in a car. Even thought it cuts down on emissions you would either have to wait a while or enough people would have to start doing it before you could see any noticable difference.
Advantages: As well as green house gas emissions being greatly reduced. there are also mental and physical benefits to riding to work in the morning before work and after. For example biking increases the endurance of the cardio vascular system as well as strengthening your muscles.
Biking to work should become a more ordinary thing to do. This idea is quite self explanatory if more people bike to work the the green house gasses emitted from the burning of fossil fuels while driving vehicles will be greatly reduced.

Solution 4
Advantages: The amount of fossil fuels being burned from the creation of electricity is a main factor in global warming because there are so many houses in the UK which all need electricity simultaneously. so buy instead of using the central heating by just putting on more layers it cuts down the emissions while your are still staying perfectly warm at the same time.
Disadvantages: There are not many disadvantages to this idea because every household has multiple of different layers people can wear. But because of so many more clothes being warn per day the amount of electricity being used will increase from cleaning and drying the clothes.
We should wear multiple layers instead of turning on the central heating. when each person turns of their central heating all the heat come from water being heated and cold air being heated. But to heat them in the first place you need electricity and the main source of producing it is by burning coal which is a fossil fuel.
PESTLE: There are mainly environmental factors but there are also economic factors as well as technological factors.
