      - Took a bottle of paracetamol (acetaminophen) and drank half a bottle of vodka following a fight that she and Paul had.
        
        Hospitalization
        
        Claims that she wouldn't have self-harmed using paracetamol if she'd know it was bad for her liver.
      - Blames herself for abuse and for using self-harm to cope.
- - - - CBT may be an effective therapy for Lyndsey in recognizing how her thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are interrelated (Austin, 2019).
      - Through CBT Lyndsey may improve her self-respect and gain the tools to discern the difference between people who add value to her life and respect her, and those who do not.
      - Lyndsey will collaborate with the CBT provider to come up with goals and expected outcomes from undergoing CBT.
  - - - Distraction
        
        The use of distraction may be effective at reducing Lyndsey's feelings of distress and allow her to find some piece of mind while in hospital (Austin, 2019).
      - Guided Imagery
        
        Guided imagery can work to break cycles of thought that are not serving PMH clients such as Lyndsey (Austin, 2019).
        
        Guided imagery is often coupled with deep breathing techniques which stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, fostering a sense of calm and contentment (Ma et al, 2017).
      - Simple relaxation techniques can be used before CBT sessions to encourage Lyndsey to relax.
