Z Boson

W Boson

Leptons - particles which interact with all the fundamental forces except for the strong nuclear force.

Baryons - hadrons that always decay to another baryon.

Mesons - hadrons that can decay to leptons and leave no hadrons.

Pion (Pi Meson)

Kaon (K Meson) - decays into pion.

Proton - most stable baryon (least mass)

Neutron - decays into proton.

Electron - most stable (least mass of charged leptons).

Muon

Tau

Tau Neutrino

Electron Neutrino

Muon Neutrino

Electromagnetic force - occurs whenever two charged particles interact with each other and also binds electrons to atoms.

Weak force

Strong force - gluon (between quarks), pion (between nucleons) and only affects hadrons.

W^- Boson

Beta Minus Decay - neutron turns into a proton, emitting an electron and anti-electron neutrino (n -> e^- + ¬ve).

W^+ Boson

Beta Plus Decay - proton turns into a neutron, emitting a positron and an electron neutrino (p -> n + e^+ + ve).

Electron Capture - an electron is absorbed by a proton in the nucleus resulting in the release of a neutron and an electron neutrino (p + e^- -> n + ve).

Electron-proton collision - an electron collides with a proton and an electron and an electron neutrino are emitted (p + e^- -> n + ve).

Hadrons -particles that interact using the strong nuclear force.
