As a teacher, you will communicate with students and parents.

Traits you rely on when you interact and communicate with others.
The ability to communicate and build relationships with others.
“Soft” skills that are easily transferable across industries and positions.
Importance of interpersonal skill
Help during the job interview process because interviewers look for applicants who can work well with others.
Employers will be looking for workers who can both perform technical tasks with excellence and communicate well with colleagues.
Help to understand other people and adjusting our approach to work together effectively.

Dependability
Can be relied on in any given situation and includes anything from being punctual to keeping promises.
Leadership
Involves effective decision making.
Effective leaders incorporate many other interpersonal skills, like empathy and patience.
Teamwork
The ability to work together as a team is extremely valuable in every workplace.
Active listening
Avoid distracting behaviours while in conversation with others. For example, the teacher must listen to student's problems.
Empathy
A worker’s emotional intelligence is how well they understand the needs and feelings of others.
