CASTING
Molten metal is poured into a container with a hollow space inside. The mould can be made from sand, steel or cast iron.

The heat metal is placed between two dies (fixed-mobile). The dies have the shape. They are pressed together and the piece take the shape.
ROLLING
Metal is passed through rollers. They reduce its thickness and increase its lenght. The metal is usually hot.

A wire is pulled through a hole. A rotating drum is used to pull it through the hole. It increases its length and reduces its diameter.
