Diffrent underlings have thier own way to increase thier loyalty with you. How you react and play will increase or decrease thier loyalty to you. If you are helping people or killing them, if you are giving them riches or not. Diffrent people will have thier own priorites on how they get loyalty.
Dialoge events where you can interact with your underlings. Maybe listen to thier propsals that you have to take an stance on. Or an choice between something, paying resorces and so on.
