Bat Experiments 👩🏼🔬
In the late 1700s, scientists discovered that the bats couldn't navigate properly if something blocked their hearing.🦇
In the 1930s, a Harvard University student used microphones to study bats and detected ultrasonic signals produced by them. But, the human ear can't detect these tiny signals.🎙
Griffen proved that bats used the echoes from the ultrasonic to navigate. He also came up the term "Echolocation". Through years of research about bat's sensory system, scientists now understand how bats navigate at night
Bats🦇
Bats use echolocation to navigate through the air, which means they can sense and locate their surroundings with echoes from their sound pulses like radar on an airplane.
