Advantages
Useful as takes all scores into account

There can be extreme values which may ignore or deflate the average
Arithmetic average - add all together and then divide by the number of scores
Median
Advantages
The extreme values do not influence it
Disadvantages
Ignores scores, not all scores are taken into account
Middle number - calculated by finding the midpoint in on a numerically ordered list
Mode
Advantages
The extreme values do not influence it
Useful when there are categories of data
Disadvantages
Doesn't include all scores, ignores data
No mode or more than 1 mode
Bi-modal - 2 modes
Most common value in a set of values
