This article is personal to me since my son has Type 1 Diabetes. Since his diagnosis, I have always been interested in the latest discoveries. This one is of particular interest because I believe his condition was triggered by a virus he caught a month prior to his diagnosis.

Though my mentor and I haven't experienced it together, we are both excited about going camping in Cabo Ledo in Luanda and I am sure we will capture similar photos to the ones shown (I cropped her in).

My biggest learning challenge was not only how to write a detailed lesson plan but also how to unpack a standard and incorporate it into my lesson plan. I overcame this challenge by persisting even when I didn't quite understand and asking for a 1-on-1 meeting with my instructor (Maureen) at the time for more guidance.
