Eclipses- An eclipse is an event that occurs in the sky when a celestial body, is partially or completely hidden by another celestial body.
Solar eclipse - A solar eclipse occur swhen the moon lies between the sun and the earth so that the shadow of the moon is cast on the earth.
Total solar eclipse- A total solar eclipse occurs when the sun is completely blocked by the moon. People in the umbra region expirience total solar eclipse.
Partial solar eclipse- A partial solar eclipse occurs when only a part of the sun is blocked by the moon. People in the penumbra region expirience partial solar eclipse.

Lunar eclipse- A lunar eclipse occurs when the earth is between the sun and the moon so that the shadow of earth is cast on the moon. The moon appears to be red on this day.
