A good topic development will help the author to state all ideas clearly, and to not lose the reader's interest because of not moving on to other details.

By elaborating, ideas are stated more clearly, by providing additional support to the main idea.

The voice gives the reader a clear understanding of the author's intentions and feelings, as they can make the reader perceive what the author is trying to express.

A sophisticated vocabulary will give a variety of words to the text, and also will make the difference be perceived between an academic writing and a casual-informal one.

A vivid language will make the reader feel engaged and active while reading.
