THE DIRTY WAR
State terrorism in Argentina, also called Process of National Reorganization; happened in the 1970s and 1980s, that was part of the Operation Condor. It was culminated as the last self-styled civic-military dictatorship
OPERATION CONDOR
It was a political repression and terrorism campaign that occurred in the 70s and 80s; backed by the USA since they wanted to avoid the expansion of communism.
US AND CUBA RELATIONSHIPS DETERIORATED
Because of the Cuban revolution of 1959, and Fidel Castro rose to power; the relationship Cuba and US had, deteriorated. A year after, the US made a lot of restrictions against their government, and in 1961 the US broke the relationship with Cuba; since there was greater cooperation with the Soviet Union.
