Types of Student Assessments, Formative Assessment can be given any time…

- - - - Examples of Formative Assessment
    - - Three-Minutes Pause where the student to stop and reflect on concepts and ideas as that were introduced in the class. This could be use for students, especially ELL ones, to stop and think and digest the information was that given during the class time. A great way for formative assessment because having a breather is key.
        
        One Question , One Comment where the student is assigned a chapter or passage and they need to create a question and one comment from the readings. This is ideal for ELL students who need to adjust to the new information that was given.
        
        Venn Diagram that helps represent a relationship between concepts or ideas. For instance, it can been use to determine the relationship between Articles of the Confederation and the Constitution
      - Portfolio Check is a purposeful collection that is carefully collected, dated, and presented to the a story about the student's achievement in academic areas, which could be in History, English Literature, Math, Biology, etc. The Portfolio could have a series of Personal reflections and that shows growing skills and abilities.

        Mid Terms
        & Semester Exams are mandatory, to show how the students grew over the year
        
        Advanced Placement is a high school course that teaches materials originally designed for university students but allows High School students to earn college credits if they score a 4 or better. AP exams covers a wide span of subjects, from Biology to Chinese Language. Advanced Placement is strictly optional but it is ideal for students to understand or at least be prepared for university level courses. For Summative Assessment,, it shows how much did the students understand over the course of a year.
        
        International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international program with the mission to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who can help to create a better and more peaceful world though intercultural understanding and respect.
        Much like AP, IB is optional coursework but it is a program that have a set of classes that is designed to help prepare students for university and will have two summative assessment exams in May and November. IB can be taken from Primary Year Program (PYP), Middle Years Program(MYP) and High School or Diploma Program (DP) .

  - - - Example 1 Super Sleuth: A pretty good pre-assessment activity that teachers can use to is called "Super Sleuth." Super Sleuth is a game that teachers will give a list of questions to students allows them to go around the classroom to interact with each other by gathering information from each other.
