These goals must be accepted by the performer and the coach or teacher setting the goal
Realistic
The goals must actually be possible to meet or achieve
Measurable
It must be possible to measure whether the goals set have been met
Time bound
a set period of time must be imposed
Specific
The target must be specific to the demands of the sport and the specific muscles/movements used
