Life History:Michael Morpurgo was born in St Albans, Hertfordhire on October 5th, 1943. He set up “Farms for City Children” charity with his wife Clare in 1976 after leaving his job as a teacher that he held for ten years

CONTRIBUTION TO LITERATURE: He wrote many famous and award winning novels, he also wrote alot of different types of genres for different audiences.

Then he moved on to his King's College London which is a public research university located in London, United Kingdom, and a founding college and member institution of the federal University of London.

What is Kensuke's Kingdom based on?


Kensuke's Kingdom is a story based on the survival of a ten year old boy Michael after he is washed overboard while sailing around the world with his parents. The story is written in the first person from Michael's point of view.
