Definition
SETT is an acronym for student, environment, tasks and tools, which the framework is used to analyse classroom interaction between the teachers and the students. This framework helps creating more student-centered, environmentally useful and tasks-focused tool systems that focuses on ensuring students' success in learning. It also helps the teachers to match the needs and abilities of the student by using the right tools.
SETT framework was developed by Dr. Joy Zabala in 1990 to promote collaborative decision-making. The framework was first introduced at the Closing the Gap assistive technology conference in 1994.
