Contextualization
The cold war is a period of indirect economical, political, and ideological conflict between the USA and the USSR.
It is called the cold war because the two countries never engaged in direct armed conflict but engaged in armed conflict in other countries in order to spread their ideologies
Some events that occured during this time period were: the war in Korea, the misile crisis in cuba, the vietnam war as well as the diverse latin-american dictatorships
The main reason for this conflict was the USSR's desire to expand communism throughout the world and the USA's desire to contain this expanssion.
