THE SILK ROAD
It was an ancient network of trade routes that for centuries were central to cultural interaction through regions of the Asian continent connecting the West and east from China to the Mediterranean Sea.
In the late 15th and early 16th centuries these routes fell. Silk was the main product exported from China, although diseases and other things spread through this route.
THE CATHOLIC MONARCHS
The Catholic Monarchs is the title that has been given in history to Queen Isabel I of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon. This marriage united both kingdoms, under one crown.
