Developing national identity aspect
National identity is defined as a set of cognitions and emotions that express an individual’s relationship with a nation (Barrett and Davis 2008; Blank and Schmidt 2003).

Promote national identity through civic lesson - cultivate people’s knowledge about the
nation state and instils a sense of national identity
Promote national identity by being a living model - Teacher should have a national outlook and reflect national consciousness, actions, conduct and behavior
Patriotism aspect
Nathanson (1993) defines patriotism as special affection for one’s own country, a sense of personal identification with the country, special concern for the well-being of the country and willingness to sacrifice to promote the country’s good
