i like this poem because it makes me feel calm, I can picture just waking up in a busy bustling city and alI i can do is "lie stretching into dawn unasked and unheeded".

The speaker's tone would be quiet at first as she describes the children sleeping, then alter as she states "awake a rumor of war" to draw attention to these phrases, then returning to a more soothing tone as she depicts the character waking up a few lines later.The speaker has a clam tone throughout the poem but also i can pick up the feeling of being lost yet eager.
