REACTIONS
Decomposition
Decomposition and decay is the process by which organic matter is broken down into simpler forms of matter. This process is necessary for recycling the finite materials that take up space in the biome.
ZnCO3 = ZnO + Co2
Double-Replacement
A double-replacement reaction is a reaction in which the positive and negative ions of two ionic compounds exchange places to form two new compounds.
NaCl + KF = NaF + KCI
Combustion
CH4 + O2 = H2O + CO2
Combustion reactions are high-temperature exothermic redox reactions that take place between a fuel and an oxidant, resulting in an oxidized product. Heat is produced as a result of combustion.
Single-Replacement
2K + 2 H2O = 2 KOH + H2
A single displacement reaction, also known as a single replacement reaction or exchange reaction, is a chemical reaction in which one element is replaced by another in a compound.
Combination
A combination reaction (also known as a synthesis reaction) is a reaction where two or more elements or compounds (reactants) combine to form a single compound (product).
C + O2 = CO2
Neutralization
It's a reaction of acid and base
HCI + NaOH = NaCI + H2O
