Internal Energy
All energy of a system that is associated with its microscopic components are atoms and molecules when viewed from a reference frame at rest with respect to the center of mass of the system
Internal Energy changes physical, chemical & chemical potential energy in the absence of temperature
Heat
The process of transferring energy across the boundary of a system because of a temperature difference between the system and its surroundings. It is also the amount of energy Q transferred by this process
-
Specific Heat
Q = C.∆T
The heat capacity C of a particular sample is the amount of energy needed to raise the temperature of that sample by ∆T°C
