The Government should fund more money and make a plan by finding places to build more homes
Strengths
-Funding money to the council towards renovating deprived homes that are filled with damp and mold will make people feel more hope for the future
Building more homes can help homeless people and people who live in deprived areas a better living condition
-Will help many individuals who struggle with mental health disorders as it can help with stress, depression and/or anxiety.
Weaknesses
-It’s very expensive
-Puts a lot of pressure on the Government
-If the Government starts to build decent sized houses for affordable prices, the people who are paying majority of their income on a similar house may find it unfair that their paying more to live in the same sized house.
Opportunities
Funding more money can give the opportunity to build more houses, flats, apartments and even shelters
-Building more houses gives many unfortunate families the opportunity to have a good quality of living as they may have been homeless or living in a deprived area for a long period of time
-By building more home, it could stop many people committing crimes such as theft as they have enough money to afford a home and food not just spending majority of their income on a home.
Threats
-It may be a struggle for the Government and they may not be able to afford to build new houses from scratch.
-Building more homes is of course going to have a huge affect on the environment
-It may be difficult to find places to build more homes
How to overcome the threats
How to overcome the threats
-The Government should come up with a plan to make sure that it can all be possible
-Build the houses in a way that’s most environmentally friendly as possible, for example using solar panels to save money on electric.
-Build the homes on brownfield sites so it that you’re reusing the same land that has been used before and knowing there is plenty of land .
how to overcome the opportunities
-The government should come up with a plan to ensure that they have enough money to fund towards housing
-Also by making a plan the it can help the government and local councils have a more clear idea of how they’ll do it, when they’ll do it and who they’ll need to do it.
-the government should make it a requirement to be earning a certain amount of money a year to be able to live in the homes, how they do with benefits, for example if you earn less than £20,000 a year, you should be allowed to buy one of these houses.
