Checked regularly for damage - repaired or disposed of it necessary e.g wheelchairs/toys
Not worn out - damaged/dangerous equipment will be in use
The care setting should have a reporting system for damaged or faulty equipment
Action can be taken immediately to take it out of use, reduces the risk of action
Replacement programme for older or worn out equipment
A good standard of safe equipment is maintained
