Ms. Vance's Action Plan or Identifying and Meeting the Needs of Students with Disabilities
How Will I Do It? 1.) Standardized, effective entry, exit and management protocols for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) 2.) An interdisciplinary team of education professionals who work together to meet all student needs. 3.) Frequent and meaningful communication with parents
Goal: to provide the resources, guidance and support necessary to ensure that all students have the ability to succeed in my classroom
Possible Entry Point 2: Student Presents Academic or Behavioral Concern. Teachers will be expected to closely monitor and document student behavior and initial academic performance throughout the first 30 days of the school term.
Tier 1 Intervention: All teachers meet to discuss moderate behavioral or academic interventions, using PBIS World as a guide. Interventions can range from differentiated behavior management plans to environmental accommodations (i.e. alternate seating) to curriculum differentiation. Teachers agree on a standardized plan and implement it for 4 weeks.

Possible Entry Point 1: Parent Interview At the beginning of the school year, meet with each student's parents to get an idea of their unique needs. Objectives will be to: 1.) Ask if the student has any identified learning difficulty. 2.) If so, ask if the student has an IEP from a prior school/prior years. 3.) Give parents the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns they may have about their child. #
